About Dowayne
Dowayne Mouton-Cross began singing at the age of 7 in his hometown church in Houston, Texas. By 18, he launched his career performing at live showcases and open mics, quickly gaining recognition for his powerful and soulful voice. His journey led him to lead praise and worship for various local churches across Houston, including serving on the worship team at Community of Faith Church in Hockley, TX.
Dowayne’s gift opened doors to share stages with renowned mainstream gospel artists such as Kierra Sheard and Dorinda Clark Cole. He has also recorded studio background vocals for several artists, including Kathy Taylor, Chad Brawley, and the late Shawn McClemore.
Today, Dowayne continues to use his voice to inspire and uplift, and is currently accepting bookings for weddings, funerals, private parties, and events.
